Livestock Shipping

Although shipping livestock is more often safe than not, it is important to note that once your order is out of our hands, we are longer directly responsible for it.

In keeping with common industry practice, shipping is at the full risk of the customer. As such, Coral Collective NZ cannot be held liable for any issues arising from shipment.

We ship all coral and fish in separate bags, and in the winter months, we will always use heat packs in each polybox to help maintain a healthy temperature. The cost of heat packs is included in the shipping rate.

Shipping Days (Applies to overnight shipping)

We aim to ship all livestock orders on the following Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday after the order has been placed. Our team will touch base with you to confirm a shipping date. We do not ship livestock on a Thursday or Friday to mitigate the potential risk a package being caught up in the mail system.

Pick Up

Although we do everything in our power to help your order arrive safely, it is always preferable to collect your livestock in-person to guarantee its survival. This helps to mitigate circumstances beyond our control. So if you are reasonably local, it is always our recommendation that you book in to collect your order.

All pickups MUST be prearranged. Please contact us directly to arrange a suitable time for this.

Shipping Rates

With the impact of Covid-19 on courier services, Coral Collective has made the decision to ship livestock to local depots only. We have found this method to be far more reliable than shipping directly to your doorstep. Note: This means that you will have to collect your shipment(s) in person, from your nominated depot.

*** Rates as of 04/08/2022

  • $40.00 Overnight Shipping (North Island)
  • $25.00 Overnight Shipping (South Island)

These rates apply for shipments that are no greater than 5kg in weight. Livestock orders exceeding this value will attract additional shipping costs.
